With a career spanning nearly 30 years, Codruț Nicolau has held key leadership roles on executive and supervisory boards of banks and multinational corporations, including serving as CEO. He is the founder of Sustain Future, a training and advisory company specialized in ESG and sustainability, which supports senior management and ESG teams in integrating sustainability into core business strategy. Codruț provides strategic guidance to investors and companies on sustainable business models and works to raise public awareness about the urgent need for a sustainable economic framework in the new regulatory context.

Previously an executive in the banking sector and CEO of a multinational company, he now leverages his extensive experience in business development, finance and sustainability to design programmes that help organizations align with evolving ESG standards. He is also a trainer in executive leadership programs, where he explores how sustainability, servant leadership and change management intersect in shaping modern leadership. Codruț is the Cambridge University ambassador in Romania for sustainability programmes and is certified as a GRI Professional and CESGA, the accreditation granted by EFFAS, the European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies.

In 2024 alone, approximately 1,800 General Managers, Financial Managers and representatives of banks and insurance companies participated in Sustain Future trainings, workshops and presentations, confirming the growing demand for ESG expertise at senior leadership level.
