Iulia-Alexandra Didu is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Law, Bucharest University of Economic Studies, where her doctoral research examines the intersection of international arbitration and artificial intelligence, an area still taking shape as courts and arbitral institutions grapple with how emerging technologies fit within existing legal frameworks.

Her academic background bridges law and economics, giving her work a dual sensitivity to normative rigor and to the practical, market-driven realities that shape commercial disputes. Her broader research interests form a closely related cluster: contract law, international trade law, banking law, and international arbitration. Across these areas, her work tends to return to a common thread, namely how contractual and financial relationships are structured, contested, and resolved, both within traditional dispute resolution mechanisms and in the newer contexts introduced by AI-driven tools and processes.
