Maria Carataș is a university lecturer and a researcher in Economics and Accounting, with over 10 years of academic and professional experience. Her expertise is in Economics, Finance, Public Management, and Intercultural Business. She is an active member of international editorial boards and scientific committees, with a strong background in project management, leadership, and international collaboration.
She earned her Bachelor`s degree in International Economic Relations in 2008 at Ovidius University of Constanța and completed a Master`s in Management and administration of SME/SMI at Clermont Auvergne University in 2009. She received her PhD in Accounting at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies in 2015. Moreover, she completed a Postdoctoral Research in Accounting in 2024 at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies.
Besides her academic career, she had also worked in the private sector as an assistant manager at Auchan Romania, as well as a financial consultant and deputy director at Generali Romania.
